Roper Logan & Tierney Theory
The group A of N-207 (2013) believes that nursing model and or nursing theories serves as the guide of nurses in providing care and decision making. It also gives direction to a nurse in any designated areas because this will help them understand fully the logic of their actions. Being guided by the different nursing models and or theories will help to reduce conflicts to all nurses in a whole. Thus, if there's no conflict then it will lead to continuity and consistency of nursing care that is being provided to patients.
With the past years, theories and models in nursing discipline evolve from task oriented to logical and systematic approach of care. Simply means that whether it is an old or new theory, whether the model may have a different concept, it only focus to one- the idea on how the "nurses" will help the patient in order to maintain or meet the patient's well-being.
The concept of Roper-Tierny Theory describes the person as a whole who is provided with the basic human needs ALs (Activity of Living.i love the way we presented our blog obviously because i am from group A.The presentation is so simple ans concise.What I like most is the illustration of the life cycle,because its easy to understand that Life is a continues cycle, that there is a beginning and an end, from the time of conception-birth-child-adult-old and death.I realized that we have to be thankful to every stage for our life.
